At Tagore Public School, Gurgaon, we proudly hosted TEDxTPSG on 7th December 2024, under the theme “Catalysts for Change.”

This extraordinary event brought together visionary thinkers and changemakers to challenge conventions and inspire meaningful change. TEDxTPSG 2024 served as a platform for sharing groundbreaking ideas, fostering innovation, and celebrating the power of transformative thought.

Mr. Ankit Kapoor has held several business leadership positions in the past 13 years. Currently building Go Sharpener – a school student network to create their impact profile by working on sustainable development goals. it has 69000 + students , 500+ schools across 90+ cities strong. till date Go-Sharpener has enabled – plantation of 1000+ trees, 1000 l + water saved, more than 1000 kg reduction of plastic usage in the past Mr. Ankit has worked with global companies like NIIT, Pearson Wolters Kluwer, Ebsco and managed large businesses for them across the globe.

Also built enterprise businesses for Medtrail & THB (startups in the health tech space). He also won several accolades like president’s club, CEO awards, star of the year, highest sales etc. He also co-created mv speaker of the year, an expression conclave for school students. Students to present their ideas in the form of panel discussions, debates, personal interviews & extempore on global issues. The conclave was graced by icons like Padma Shri & Arjuna Award winner Ms. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri & Khel Ratna award winner Mr. Yogeshwar Dutt , Arjuna Award winner Ms. Babita Kumari & many more.

With over 28 years of corporate experience in Strategic thinking, formulation of operational guidelines and a business enabler to complex legal issues, Amar has worked with best of the Indian and Multinational business houses like DCM Shriram, Birla, TATA, AT & T, Reliance, Citi, E&Y and Royal bank of Scotland (RBS- India / Natwest Group) where he had the privilege of holding senior leadership positions in Legal, Corporate Governance, Regulatory Affairs, Ex-Co, Risk Management and Compliance.

Mr. Amar is currently the Sr. Vice President (Legal) – General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer for NEC Corporation India.

A known name in the Corporate legal Industry , Mr. Amar is amongst the top GC’s of India from Legal500, Forbes, Legal Era, Business World, INBA WIPF consistently from the year 2016 till 2024.

Mr. Amar also speaks on a number of national and international legal forums on variety of legal topics and has published articles to his credit.

Mr. Amar holds various honorary positions – the latest ones being a member of the Advisory Board of UK-India Legal Partnership (UKILP) and a founding member of General Counsel Association of India (GCAI). He was the Chairperson of the CII sub-committee on “General Counsels Reforms” as a part of “CII National Committee on Legal Services” (2023-24) chaired by Dr. Lalit Bhasin and is currently the Vice Chair of “CII National Committee on Legal Services” (2024-25).

He is also associated with a number of law universities in India whereby he mentors young legal talent.

Mr. Inder is a Mechanical Design Engineer by trade and an MBA. After a 20 year career in the US, he started working with animals as a cruelty investigator in Texas and as an Animal Control Officer. He learnt how to control rabies, reduce human-animal conflict, the importance of humane-education and help stray and injured animals. In 2015 he retired and moved to India to use his experience and skills start Animal Control in India and help reduce human-animal conflict.

He has also authored a book – Between the knife and the sock. His book, “Between The Knife and The Sock” depicts a journey of how an animal can change a person’s life completely into being an animal activist, a vegan activist and a voice for the voiceless.

Mr. Inder Sandhu has been volunteering at animal shelters over the past eight years and is involved in several rescue organizations as an Adoption Counselor, Fundraising Manager, Educating and Information Manager along with serving on volunteering and fundraising committees. He is a Mechanical Engineer by trade, has an MBA in marketing and has held several positions as Marketing Manager for engineering products. Some of the organizations he represents are; Abandoned Animal Rescue, Tomball, Houston Area Doberman Rescue, Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue, Home fur’ Good, SPCA Chandigarh, People for Animals, People in Defense of Animals and others. Inder also writes columns in newsletters for rescue organizations, has had articles published in Indian daily newspapers (Hindu and The Tribune).

Monis is a passionate changemaker committed to improving students’ lives and shaping India’s future. With over a decade in the education sector, he combines strategic planning, mentoring, and philanthropy to create positive change. Monis is dedicated to empowering individuals and supporting social startups, making a significant impact through his work.

Through the You Can Foundation, Monis has organized 75 blood donation camps in Delhi, saving over 15,000 lives. His efforts have earned him awards from the Delhi Government’s SCBT & CSBT and recognition from central government bodies.

He has worked with over 5,000 students, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their goals. Monis has also been featured in the 40 Under 40 Social Entrepreneurs list and recognized by various institutions for his contributions.

Monis previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at BNPS International, where he played a key role in setting up the organisation & facilitating students through the process of gaining admission to top global universities. Currently, he leads Career Honors, a Career Advocacy Firm, partnering with schools and universities in India and abroad to shape students’ career journeys. He is a certified Design Thinking Trainer, trained by some of the world’s best trainers from nine different countries. His collaborations with NGOs and enterprises drive meaningful change in education. As a mentor, guest speaker, and panelist, Monis has shared his insights at prestigious institutions like the University of Westminster in London and the Abu Dhabi SME Hub, guiding students and startups towards success.

Monis currently teaches MBA students Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship at IILM University, empowering future business leaders with innovative problem-solving skills. Additionally, he teaches Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship Innovation Management at a leading management college in Delhi. He also serves on the boards of key organizations, including E-Cell IIT Bombay, IIDF Russia, the University of Plymouth, Startup India, and Atal Tinkering Lab, where his expertise fosters growth and innovation. Monis offers valuable insights into global job markets, emphasizing cross-cultural communication, language proficiency, and adaptability in international careers. Through his mentorship and philanthropy, Monis continues to nurture talent and empower individuals worldwide.

Mr. Sunil Shahani is a seasoned leader and Vice President at AECOM India Pvt Ltd, a global design and engineering consultancy firm specializing in sustainable solutions for buildings, infrastructure, and renewable energy. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, he has been at the forefront of driving innovative and environmentally conscious designs that balance functionality with ecological responsibility.

Under his leadership, AECOM has successfully delivered numerous projects that emphasize energy efficiency, resource conservation, and long-term sustainability, earning a reputation for setting benchmarks in green design and engineering.

Passionate about sustainability, Sunil Shahani is committed to inspiring the next generation to embrace eco-friendly practices and innovative technologies. We all believe that addressing today’s environmental challenges requires a collective effort, where every individual plays a vital role in shaping a greener future.

Mr. Sunil Shahani will share insights on the importance of sustainability, the impact of responsible design practices, and how each of us can contribute to environmental conservation.

Ms. Saloni’s journey to becoming a dynamic, multi-faceted leader started in Lucknow, India, where her middle-class upbringing instilled in her the values of education, hard work, and community service. Balancing a demanding schedule while pursuing her education in India and the UK, she developed a tireless work ethic that would later define her professional life.

Saloni’s commitment to service and social impact began at the tender age of 11, and has continued throughout her remarkable journey.

After completing her undergraduate degree in History from IP College Delhi University, she pursued a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Sheffield UK.

Saloni’s impact on the world is not limited to her media and non-profit career. She also co-founded a small charity a decade ago Gurgaon, which has since grown into a pan-India non-profit that provides quality education to thousands of underprivileged children. Her dedication to this cause earned her the prestigious Grant Thornton NDTV Social Leader of the Year award in 2020 for her extraordinary leadership during the pandemic.

Ms. Saloni is committed to empowering others, currently supporting smaller non-profits and individuals to become agents of change. She also serves as the Chief Executive of a premium importer of FMCG products. In her personal life, she is a devoted mother to two children and a rescued Golden Retriever, enjoying hobbies such as writing, cooking, baking, working out, and spending time in nature. Above all, Saloni is passionate about making a difference in her community through sustainable practices.

Mr. Bharat Jain is a Principal at EFESO India, specializing in Value Chain and Supply Chain Transformation. A proven leader with a robust background in orchestrating strategic industry redefinitions, Bharat has significantly elevated operational performance across diverse sectors, including Automotive, Agri-Food, e-commerce, and FMCG.

As a TED Speaker, Bharat will share his insights on Leadership and Empowerment at Tagore Public School, Gurgaon, highlighting the role of leadership in inspiring others and strategies for empowering individuals or communities to take charge of their futures.

A documentary filmmaker by profession and an environmentalist at heart switched full-time to Environmental Conservation in 2007 committing himself to Ecosystem Conservation particularly in the pursuit to find a solution to the dwindling population of sparrows. After multiple innovations and experimentations, he succeeded in creating a nest out of bamboo sticks, cloth, jute, cotton among other things which have an adoption rate of over 85%.It is a matter of immense pride that an initiative to save the House Sparrow, started in 2008 with 20 nests has become a movement today with a total number crossing the 7.30 lakh nests mark as on World Environment Day, 5th June 2024.

With over 7000 workshops organized, over 14 lakh attendees directly have made nests with him. Eco Roots Foundation under his leadership have been recognized by Limca Book of Records for making most Nests by reaching out to about 2,00,000 students to create this record between March 2016 to March 2018. He is also recognised for for conducting extensive theatre programs on climate change, reaching over 112,000 children across 24 cities in 17 states, in 12 different languages. Prior to this, he engaged 94,000 girls in theatre activities focused on water conservation under the “Neer, Naari aur Vigyaan” program. Further, Macmillan Publishing and Oxford Publishing have both featured the distinguished environmentalist Rakesh Khatri in their esteemed publications, highlighting Mr. Khatri’s significant contributions to environmental conservation.

Mr. Abhishek Gupta is an eminent figure in the field of career counselling and acclaimed as the Founder and CEO of ‘High School Moms’, Asia’s biggest parent, student and educator community. Ms. Prachi Singh

Prachi Singh is a chartered accountant and works as an associate director in a big four company. Along with her professional career, she pursues her passion of nurturing and conserving butterflies for the past 18 years. She holds the Limca book of records for years 2020 and 2021. In collaboration with WWF India, she has authored a children’s book on butterflies named ‘Curious Coco’. She leads various butterfly awareness workshops, nature walks and sets up butterfly gardens through her Ngo- ‘Pankh’.

Ms. Megha Saraf

Megha Saraf is the Director and Co-founder of Belmax Solutions and the Co-founder of Basics Global Academy. Belmax is a software training company providing various skill certifications.
With nearly a decade of teaching experience in prestigious IB and IGCSE schools in Gurugram, Megha has transformed the lives of countless students by teaching and guiding them on their journey to prestigious universities—a mission she continues to pursue with passion. Capt. Dharamveer Singh

Captain Dharamveer’s inspiring journey began in Gorakhpur and Allahabad, where he received his education in Hindi medium schools. Despite his humble beginnings, he pursued a degree in Japanese (Hons.) from JNU and later joined the Army to serve his nation. His experiences in training, operations, and war games shaped him into the resilient and determined individual he is today. After a successful career in the corporate world, Captain Dharamveer founded his own company, Apache. He is known for participating in Fear Factor (Khatron ke Khiladi) and Total Wipe-Out (Zor ka Jhatka), where he demonstrated courage and resilience.
